RE: Omega Psi Phi Tenth District AALH Committee Kick-off
Dear Brothers of the Talented Tenth District,
I thank God that I’m BLACK and I’m proud! I pray that you are too! The Committee is excited and filled with enthusiasm. We will
regenerate and build upon last year’s successes and ideas that allowed you to participate and receive chapter gifts and prizes for your
knowledge of BLACK history.
With your support and participation, here's how we plan to continue breathing life into this Committee and your Blackness:
- Every month (i.e. September through March) there will be four (4) questions, quotes, and/or life descriptions on the Tenth District website that you are to correctly identify (if you can) by emailing the individuals name, your name, your chapter (city and state) to the Committee Chairman (Quelentless2@yahoo.com) by no later than the last day of that month; the chapter with the most correct answers (no duplications) from September through March wins a prize/gift. The correct answers and additional details will be posted on the Tenth District website the following month that the questions, quotes, and/or life descriptions are presented;
- Correctly identify an oration, quote, life description, or skit by the Committee at the Tenth District Council Meeting and win a prize/gift;
- Correctly identify an oration, quote, life description, or skit by the Committee at the Tenth District Convention and win a prize/gift;
- Be the first to notify the Committee Chairman with all the correct individuals from the four (4) questions, quotes, and/or life descriptions enclosed in the AALH Committee final report and win a prize/gift.
Omega Psi Phi is 365 days BLACK (366 days Black during Leap Year)! Bring the Blackness! Let the Tenth District be the foundation of Blackness!!!!
February is BLACK History Month! Omega's greatness depends on our ability to be BLACK, think from a BLACK perspective, do what's best for BLACKs, and not continue to be afraid to admit that we are indeed unapologetically BLACK!
You can continue supporting the committee by visiting the Tenth District website and participating in the monthly online "QUEst for Blackness", and provide the Committee Chairman with a list of buildings named on behalf of Omega Men and African American Museums in your respective city (inclusive of the correct mailing address and telephone number). MILWAUKEE QUES we need your list ASAP!
May you continue to receive the Lord's grace, mercy, and forgiveness.
Roo-Roo,
Bro. Melvin M. Slater, Sr.
